Confused Kitchen is the brain-child of owner-operator TJ, a proud Scarborough-raised Tamil-Canadian with a deep passion for food and flavour experimentation. From his early days as a part-time worker in the restaurant industry during high school, TJ has cultivated a profound love for culinary arts, now bringing over 25 years of hands-on experience in food preparation to his own venture.
TJ’s vision for Confused Kitchen is rooted in a unique blend of taste and nostalgia. Specializing in fusing traditional Tamil flavours and textures with the comforting familiarity of North American classics, Confused Kitchen offers a dining experience that is both innovative and deeply satisfying. Our menu reflects TJ’s dedication to culinary creativity, with each dish crafted to bridge cultures and create something truly memorable.
A shining example of this fusion is our most popular roll, the Mac and Cheese with Mutton. This dish perfectly encapsulates TJ’s approach: taking a beloved comfort food and infusing it with rich, traditional Tamil spices to create a dish that’s as unexpected as it is delicious.
